Craig was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Atlantic Airways on 1 February 2013. In this role he oversees both the airline, and its holiday company Virgin Holidays, both headquartered in ‘the VHQ’ just outside Gatwick Airport in West Sussex. In 2014, Craig led Virgin Atlantic back to profit, while improving both customer service ratings and team engagement scores. At the same time he led the implementation of Virgin Atlantic Airways’ transatlantic joint venture with Delta, rationalised the airline’s route network and oversaw the introduction of a new fleet of fuel-efficient 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Craig joined from American Airlines (AA), where he had a 27-year career spanning commercial, financial and strategic roles in the US and around the globe. In his spare time, Craig likes to play golf and is a big music fan (you can sometimes catch him on the mic at a karaoke night.) He lives in London with his wife Becky and his daughter Isabel, who is currently studying in the US.

Marc A. Doss is the regional chief investment officer and a managing director for Wells Fargo Private Bank in California and Nevada. He leads a team of investment professionals who deliver comprehensive, custom, diversified portfolio management for clients of The Private Bank. In his role, Mr. Doss serves as the investment thought leader in the region by providing insight and interpretation of the economy and financial markets at client events and through written commentary. He serves on the Wealth Investment Policy and Fiduciary Oversight Committees. Mr. Doss earned a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, Bachelors of Science in Economics and Political Science from the University of Illinois, is a CFA® charterholder, and holds the Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) designation. He is a former trustee for the San Diego County Retirement Association (SDCERA) and previously served as the president of the CFA Society of San Diego. He served four years of active duty in the United States Navy and eight years in the reserves as a U.S. naval officer. Mr. Doss is based in San Diego, California.

Mr. Zaman joined Meketa Fiduciary Management in 2015, and has been in the financial services industry for 27 years. A Principal of the firm, Mr. Zaman also serves as Chief Investment Officer and is directly involved in all aspects of the investment process, from strategic and tactical asset allocation to risk management and portfolio construction. Prior to joining Meketa Fiduciary Management, Mr. Zaman spent 17 years at DuPont Capital Management. From 2007 to 2015 he served as Head of Global Equities, overseeing a team of 35 portfolio managers, analysts, and traders, and over $15 billion in assets. Previously, Mr. Zaman served as DuPont’s Head of U.S. Equities and Head of Quantitative Equities. Throughout his career at DuPont, Mr. Zaman was also a Portfolio Manager for U.S. Large Cap, U.S. Mid Cap, U.S. Small Cap, International and Emerging Markets equity strategies, as well as Portfolio Manager for a Long/Short Equity strategy. In addition, Mr. Zaman spent 10 years as Chair of the DuPont Capital Management Investment Committee, which had fiduciary oversight of the DuPont pension fund, one of the largest pension funds in the United States. Prior to joining DuPont, Mr. Zaman served as a Portfolio Manager at Martingale Asset Management and Director of Advanced Research at Mellon Equity Associates. Mr. Zaman began his career at BARRA, where he was responsible for developing the firm’s first U.S. Small Cap risk model. Mr. Zaman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from REC Kurukshetra in India, and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

Dustin typically assists clients integrate and separate core Go To Market functional areas for global companies, in addition to leading integration and divestiture management offices. Functionally, Dustin has assisted clients with critical Sales, Marketing, Support, Professional Services, and Go To Market enabling functions. In addition, Dustin often assists clients in identifying, calculating, and tracking synergy opportunities, one-time costs, stranded costs, and Transition Service Agreement (TSA) costs.

Vice President Jennie Brooks leads Booz Allen’s business supporting Navy clients in San Diego, CA, where she is responsible for managing large client engagements across Navy organizations. Additionally, Ms. Brooks leads the firm’s Acquisition, Program Management and Logistics Integrated Management Team, comprised of 600 consultants supporting Navy clientele across the nation. Ms. Brooks serves as Co-Chair of the Booz Allen Women’s Forum and as an advisor to the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. Kristin Howell is a Business Associate Consultant in ZS Associates since 2015. She is devoted in helping companies improve overall performance through end-to-end sales and marketing solutions – from customer insights and strategy to analytics, operations and technology. With 6 years’ experience in Molecular Cognition Lab as a graduate student researcher, she finished her PhD in University of San Diego for the focus of Psychology/Behavioral Neuroscience in 2015.

Dean has been an active entrepreneur within the San Diego start-up ecosystem since 1989. Along the way he has raised over $30M in venture capital, created hundreds of jobs (and a few marriages), and had way more failures than successes. He founded the world's first on-line restaurant ordering site on the web (in 1996) and delivered software solutions across the aviation, energy, and maritime sectors. His last company, AIRSIS, Inc. was acquired by a public company in 2014. Dean is now a full-time angel investor and is the President of the San Diego Chapter of Tech Coast Angels, one of the largest angel investment groups in the country.

Born in Taiwan, Jeff Chien moved to the states at the age of 11. Upon graduating from UCSD in '05, Jeff spent the early part of his career in commercial banking with Citibank/HSBC in the Bay Area. After that, he spent the next 9 years in Greater China - from MBA program at Peking University in Beijing, to Asset Mgmt with Anbang Insurance in HK and then as Special Assistant to the Chairman of SOHO China Mr. Panshiyi after that. Jeff is currently the Corporate Venture Partner at the SV based VC Plug and Play, early investor to Google, PayPal, and Dropbox.
Navid Alipour is Co-founder and Managing Partner at Analytics Ventures, a Venture Formation Fund focused on starting new ventures with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) at their core. Prior to co-founding Analytics Ventures, Mr. Alipour founded La Costa Investment Group, making targeted investments in multiple AI based companies, bringing them from inception to success, including CureMetrix and Curematch. He looks to identify top tier scientists, academics or corporate partners - and then to work with them to turn their research into viable businesses.
Valeriy graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from the University of California San Diego in 2010, where he completed the program three years. Valeriy’s leadership capabilities and visionary mindset were prominently displayed from the onset of his career where he worked as a Software Engineer in T3 Leads, leading a team of sixteen programmers and pioneering new technology to transcend the lead generation industry in affiliate marketing.

Mr. Haahr is a Vice President at Silver Portal Capital with over 7 years of investment banking and commercial real estate experience. He is responsible for interfacing with clients and leading Silver Portal’s due diligence and underwriting/modeling efforts. Prior to Silver Portal, he interned as an analyst for RedHill Realty Investors and Westcore Properties, private real estate investment firms that specialize in raising institutional capital and acquiring multi-family and office/industrial assets. Mr. Haahr has a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University as well as minors in Spanish and Science and Technology Studies.
Dr. Loren is a managing director in Oppenheimer’s healthcare investment banking group and brings over 25 years of biomedical research and leadership experience in the healthcare space, including senior roles at Westwicke Partners, Perceptive Advisors, MTB Investment Advisors, Legg Mason, and Abbott Laboratories. Prior to Oppenheimer, Dr. Loren served as managing partner at Leap Day Capital, a strategic investment firm focused on life science companies. Dr. Loren currently sits on the board of Cellectar Biosciences and has served on a number of other boards of both public and private companies. His scientific work has been featured in Scientific American, Time, Newsweek and Discover, as well as other periodicals and journals. Dr. Loren received his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and his Ph.D. in in Organic Chemistry from University of California, Berkeley.
Tony is an Associate in Citi’s Technology Investment Banking Group in San Francisco. Prior to joining Citi, Tony spent over six years at Northrop Grumman in their Systems Engineering teams. Tony received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, an M.S in Systems Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles and his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Tim Malott joined Shoreline Partners in 1994 and serves as President and CEO of Shoreline's broker-dealer affiliate, ShorelineAmbrose Advisors, LLC. Since joining the firm, Malott has led numerous sale, merger, acquisition and financing assignments for privately held, lower middle market companies, across a wide array of industries and throughout the Southwest.
