Scott Radell, Managing Director, is the Head of San Francisco Core Portfolio Management (Core PM) within Systematic Fixed Income, responsible for the management and oversight of all the Americas Index, iShares, and model based active fixed income funds. Mr. Radell's service with the firm dates back to 2003, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Before founding the Portfolio Solutions Group, he was a portfolio manager responsible for BGI's active investment grade long-only and long/short cross-over portfolios. Prior to joining BGI, Mr. Radell served for over seven years as an analyst for corporate bond and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities for Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Mr. Radell began his career as a fixed income client service and mortgage analyst at BARRA.

Jeff Witt CFA CIPM serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Private Asset Management, Inc. In this role, Mr. Witt oversees the company’s investments process, global economic and financial analysis, asset allocation, and risk management of the firm’s portfolio. Prior experience has included working as a Senior Financial Analyst/Economist in the municipal bond arena for the City of San Diego and as an Equity Analyst for the investment bank Hanifen Imhoff. Mr. Witt graduated cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Philosophy of Law. She also brings decades of experience in commercial real estate transactions, land management and alternative energy projects. Emmy has focused on emerging and developing technologies for 24 years over a broad spectrum of fund sizes. Emmy is also the advising senior technology analyst at Nicholas Investment Partners, a San Diego RIA with $1.5B+ in AuM. She served as the VP and Sr. Director of Oppenheimer Funds, a leading global asset management firm with $249B AUM, where she provided technology research for the $32B in mid and large cap growth managers’ funds and convertibles bond funds.

Ms. Yu has 16 years of investment-industry experience. She was previously a risk analyst for Provident Advisors LLC. Ms. Yu has a B.S. from Nanjing University, China, and an M.S. from the University of Southern California and the National University of Singapore. She is a CFA charterholder and was formerly president of the CFA Society San Diego.

Todd Johnson, Project Leader, Los Angeles, joined BCG in 2015. Todd earned his PhD in Bioengineering from UCSD and graduated from Tulane University summa cum laude with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering. Prior to joining BCG, Todd was a graduate student researcher working on developing cardiovascular regenerative medicine therapies. At BCG, he has primarily worked within the healthcare space over a range of strategy topics including mergers & acquisitions, commercial capabilities, organization transformations, and market growth. His work has focused on advising executives of Fortune 500 companies including biopharma, biotech/medtech, healthy systems and health insurance companies. In his free time he enjoys playing viola, working out, traveling, and going out to eat.

Brett Maurer is a strategy consultant currently serving as an executive within Accenture Strategy’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. In this role, he partners with Fortune 500 companies on mission-critical growth strategy and M&A initiatives, such as large mergers, strategic due diligence assessments, joint ventures, and corporate venture investments. His work is mostly focused within the energy and high-tech industries. Prior to his current role, Brett worked as a small business entrepreneur and as a management consultant at a boutique firm before earning his MBA at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. Brett graduated UCSD in 2007 with a major in Economics and a minor in History. While at UCSD, Brett was a member of the men’s soccer team, studied abroad at the University of Hong Kong, and was an active member in the Undergraduate Investment Society. Brett currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Michelle, and daughter, Farah.

Before starting his professional career, Jono was a researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography helping to develop tectonic maps of the ocean sea floor using space-based radar altimetry.

She earned her angel-investor wings as a Managing Director and co-head of Enterprise Technology at Golden Seeds. Deborah has amassed a career spanning 25+ years on Wall Street. Deborah was a Managing Director and Deputy Director of Equity Research at Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, Deborah led Equity Research at NatWest Securities (US). She spent 15 years at Prudential Securities where she managed and trained Equity Research analysts and was a top ranked consumer analyst for each of the 7 years she followed stocks. Deborah is a Trustee of UC, San Diego, a member of its investment committee and serves on the Economic Leadership Council at UCSD, she also serves on advisory boards of several portfolio companies and mentors entrepreneurs.

Prior to joining HCAP Partners, Frank was with DBI Capital, a Southern California based lower middle market private equity buyout group. Before joining DBI, Frank was a Vice President in the Fixed Income Capital Markets team at Citigroup specializing in Private Placements. Prior to joining Citigroup, he was an officer in the Venture Capital team within the Economic Development Bank for Puerto Rico. Armin has completed numerous M&A, equity, and leverage finance assignments for his clients, including Compuware, Dynatrace, Purple Innovation, SolarWinds, and Wawona Packing. Prior to Headwaters, Armin worked at Bainbridge Capital, where he sourced proprietary investment opportunities on behalf of private equity, corporate strategic, and family office investors. Lauren Edgerton is a vice president in the Healthcare Investment Banking group at Wells Fargo Securities. She joined Wells Fargo Securities in 2015 and works with companies focused on medical devices and life science tools and diagnostics. She works with companies of all sizes, ranging from pre-revenue to $100+ billion in market cap. Lauren is involved in the execution of a broad range of debt and equity capital raising, acquisition financing and public and private buyside and sellside advisory transactions for her clients. Lauren also served as the analyst and associate staffer from 2016-2019 and continues to be actively involved in recruiting and mentoring initiatives for the group. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Securities, Lauren was an associate director at UBS in New York, focused on providing liquidity options for private equity sponsors. Before that, she worked in a variety of roles in private equity, investment banking and asset management in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Lauren earned a B.A. in mathematics from the University of California at San Diego and a Masters in Financial Engineering from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. She is also on the board of Foxcroft School, an all-girls boarding school in Virginia.
